Type of event: Tuesday Night Meeting Start time: 7:00pm Duration: 2 hours Venue: 38 Valetta Street, Carrum, Victoria, 3197 See map below Description: Unfortunately, our UKESTRA workshop with Steph Payne has had to be postponed until early 2025 so we have a change of plan for Tuesday the 22nd October.
For the first part of the night, we will have JAMMING CIRCLES to build on what we have learnt in the workshops and sessions run this year.
As you move around the different groups you can ask, "What key is it in?" apply your knowledge, (or have a quick look at the cheat card Carolyn made for us) and join in playing and singing along to a selection of well-known 2, 3 chord songs without the words and chords in front of you .... you may even be able to throw in a minor or 7th to spice it up!
After supper we will have WHITEBOARD WONDERS selected from the Ukulele Club Song Book 2. Please have a flick through the book at home so you can write the songs up on the whiteboard when you arrive.
