Many of our club members will know Chantelle. She has offered to come to our club one evening to print some tee shirts for us. Either with the LUKES logo or a picture of your choice from her catalogue. She will also be in Emerald at the HUF festival in May. Please let me know if you are interested in having a LUKES shirt as the club will still subsidise these.
Following the success of the Melbourne Ukulele Festival, LUKES have secured a spot in the 2025 HUF for a 1/2-hour set. Please let me know if you are interested in performing. I’m compiling a list of interested performers so I can then organise rehearsals in readiness for the HUF.

Lastly sad news, Ian Jemmeson has passed away, he was one of the founding members, of what was then LBSS (Longbeach Short Strings), and was a mentor of mine when I first joined. Patiently showing me jazz strumming and blues riffs. Merdith East called me today to let me know, his funeral is next Wednesday in Malvern. I have been trawling my computers to find a photo of him and this one at Richfield is the only one I can find.
